One Response to “Chewing on The Word”

  1. Very well argued. I took notes. Your sermons teach me to look beyond what I have been taught in Sunday School and many sermons in my black church, to really seeing the culture and context of the text. You seem to look for deeper meaning, and not having attended seminary but often asked to preach, I feel inadequate. But at 72, going to seminary is costt prohibitive. But, in your sermons, so short compared to what I preach when speaking to black folks as opposed to other races, remind me that exegesis and hermenutics are so important. So, I take appart your sermons and see amazing possibilities to connecting the Scriptures to modern times. As always, thank you.

I invite your thoughts and insights.
