Thank you. I just told my husband that I feel depressed. I had said to God this morning that I wish I could take the whole world into a hug of comfort and fill everyone with the love of God, so there would be peace and joy. I didn’t have a name for it, but I do now: a time of trial. It seems like deliver us from evil isn’t happening, and as a minister, what do you say to people? I tell people that the Lord is our hope, but I struggle as I wait for a change to come. My church has shrunk from over 120 or more at church to less than 30 some Sundays, and there is a constant grieving, at least for me. i attend a United Methodist Church, and I feel such exhaustion in trying to keep up a pleasant and hopeful face. But, I know my Redeemer lives. Holy Spirit, Come.
